          Yall ready for this?

The Voter ID bill has passed and we must get prepared! Starting in 2012, voters will be required to show a photo ID such as a driver license or state-issued ID in order to receive a ballot and vote.

Over 70% of Blacks ages 18 - 24 do not have the ID required in order to vote.  At the recall and special elections in 2011, voters will be asked to show a photo ID for a "soft implementation" of the new law.  Voters who do not have the required ID will will be able to vote, but will also receive a document explaining the requirements of the law for 2012 and how to receive a free ID.

Although it seems there is nothing we can do, this actually offers black people another opportunity to galvanize and show our resolve to ourselves and for our children.  More info about Voter Photo ID

Honestly what are Black Men suppose to do?

Is this how the Great Migration of Blacks from the South finally ends.  Blacks came to the north for jobs and a better life and some blacks were able to realize those opportunities.

Today we live in a much different Milwaukee.  Different from any other period in Milwaukee's history as a progressive industrial city because today there are very few companies remaining in the city that supplied those middle class jobs that Milwaukeeans are accustomed to.

I often hear people who were able to work during the time when Milwaukee had more employment opportunities to offer Blacks say to unemployed Black Men, "get out there and find a job.  You can find one if you really want to." and I wonder, what world are you living in. I guess it depends on how you see things but the fact is Milwaukee is no longer a booming industrial city.

Now anyone in Wisconsin can carry a concealed hand gun except felons and others was are restricted for legal reasons.  How do you feel about that?  With the understanding that a large number of Blacks are felons and felons are excluded from carry concealed hand guns, who does this law benefit.  What is the law for?  Should I get a gun?
